Similar to Ylang Ylang, Cananga essential oil helps reduce stress and promote calmness. Cananga may be soothing to the nervous system and the skin.

Description

Native to tropical Asia, the cananga tree is a member of the sugar apple family. Indonesian’s place cananga flowers on honeymooners’ pillows to symbolise a happy life.

Cananga essential oil comes from its vibrant yellow flowers, which are then placed under steam distillation for oil extraction. Ylang Ylang essential oil is also extracted from the same tree, although Cananga has higher amounts of ββ-Caryophyllene.
